I'm winding down after a busy week getting ready for the big day. I'm not one of those girls who loves to shop so I was glad to have my sister in law in town to help me finish up just in time. We had a wonderful Christmas Eve with my parents, inlaws, sister(and hubby), brother(wifey), and all the kiddos. I was thrilled to get a fabulous art set from my mom! Just what I wanted! I love my mom! My inlaws spent the night with us and enjoyed watching the kids open their presents the next morning. My son Collin was literally jumping up and down when he opened his giganto lego set, "The Battle of Endor". He said, and I quote, "This is the best Christmas Ever!" My daughter is all about the clothes and was very happy with her gifts. It was a great day. I was able to take a nap and my husband spent the afternoon building legos with Collin. Later in the day we watched a dvd my mother gave us of the day my son was born. I didn't even know it existed! My kids were glued to the screen totally mesmerized. There was my sweet baby boy, brand new being welcomed by his new family. Emma was 5 at the time and so precious. I loved hearing her little voice. In the video I'm laying in the hospital bed and she says, "Mommy why aren't you wearing shoes?" Too cute. It sounds cliche, but it really reminds me how important it is to enjoy every moment together, it is going by so fast. Today I'm finally getting the house back in order and getting some laundry done so I can get back to stitching and painting. Hope everyone had a Happy Christmas!

Just returned home from a weekend at Oceanside. My friend and walking buddy Amber invited me to join her for a girlie getaway with her mom, aunties, and cousins. Wow, it was a very spirited group of ladies! Good food, lots of laughter, and a beautiful view. I was bombarded with hugs and kisses from my kiddos when I got home today. After settling in I checked my email and was thrilled to see I had my 1st sale on Etsy!!! Yipee! A wonderful end to a wonderful weekend. Thankyou Batesmom, I hope you will love your new stitchings!

My husband rescued an adorable black kitty just before Halloween and we named him "Boo". He is so loveable and he follows me everywhere I go. The poor little guy had a vist to the vet today. He got neutered, had shots, and got micro-chipped. I don't think he will ever want to set foot in the cat carrier ever again. Sorry Boo, it was for the best.
